Former Australian cricketer Michael Slater attacked Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison for his decision which has caused trouble for Australian cricketers and citizens in India. Michael Slater was performing the duty as a commentator in IPL 2021 in India. He tried to return to Australia after fearing being locked out.

However, the Australian government banned all international flights from India and blocked citizens who visited India from coming to Australia till May 15. The decision was taken due to the rising Covid-19 cases in India.

As a result, Michael Slater had to land in the Maldives. According to reports, Michael Slater is staying in the Maldives currently and waiting for the Australian government’s nod to allow citizens to enter the country. Now, since IPL 2021 is suspended due to Covid-19, many Australian cricketers are trapped in India and cannot return home due to the Australian government’s decision.

Amazing To Smoke Out The PM On The Matter: Michael Slater

Now, Slater has posted a tweet to verbally attack Australian PM Scott Morrison. Slater said it will be amazing to smoke out the PM on the Covid-19 crisis in India.

“Amazing to smoke out the PM on a matter that is a human crisis. The panic, the fear of every Australian in India is real!! How about you take your private jet and come and witness dead bodies on the street!”, Michael Slater tweeted.

This is not the first time that Slater has slammed Australian PM and government over the issue on Twitter. Earlier, he had criticized them for blocking citizens from entering the country.

“If our Government cared for the safety of Aussies they would allow us to get home. It’s a disgrace!! Blood on your hands PM. How dare you treat us like this. How about you sort out quarantine system. I had government permission to work on the IPL but I now have government neglect,” Michael Slater had earlier tweeted.

However, many Australian players like David Warner, Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Marcus Stoinis, Pat Cummins, Chris Lynn, Nathan Coulter-Nile, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith, and Moises Henriques did not leave IPL 2021.
