IPL 2022 Mega Auction: 3 Big Players Punjab Kings (PBKS) Might Release. Despite the hurdles and challenges the COVID-19 pandemic posed before the world, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ensures the IPL 2021 was completed without much hindrance.

The tournament had to be halted in May owing to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in India and subsequently had to be moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings won the IPL 2021 after a thumping win against Kolkata Knight Riders by 27 runs in the final on October 15.

For many of the players, IPL 2021 could be the last time they might have played for the respective franchises.

As it is said ‘ The Show Must Go On’ and so like the Indian Premier League, one of the richest leagues in the sporting world, is set to once again expand the tournament with two new teams.

BCCI had floated an Invitation to Tender (ITT) inviting bids for owning two new teams to be inducted in IPL. Interested parties could buy the tender for a non-refundable 110 lakh plus taxes till October 5.

Hence IPL 2022 will see most of the players go under the auctions table as BCCI has planned a mega auction where each team will be able to retain a maximum of three players.

Punjab owners will definitely have to ruminate about the player management before they move to IPL 2022.

According to reports Punjab Kings skipper, KL Rahul is likely to leave the team for the next season but as of now, we haven’t heard anything either from the player or the team officials.

1) Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss does what he wants and there is no supreme power that can tell him what to do.

Like he decides to play whichever tournament he likes and can also take a U-turn on his retirement from international cricket.

He can surely take the field for West Indies for one more year or maybe two? Who knows!

Gayle is the epitome example of how a player can keep themself fit even beyond the age of 40 and still play in his prime form.

However, Gayle’s power-hitting ability is slightly decreasing as his strike rate has dipped down to 125.32 from what it was above 150 in IPL 2019.
