Josh Inglis went unsold in the IPL Auction 2024 on December 19, 2023 in Dubai. The wicketkeeper-batsman was tipped to earn a good IPL contract after his brilliant T20I century against India last month.

He scored the century in just 47 balls to equal the Australian record for fastest T20I century. In 3 T20Is against India, Josh Inglis smashed 122 runs at a stunning strike rate of over 200.

Before that, he played an important role in Australia’s World Cup triumph. After replacing Alex Carey in the playing eleven, he scored 159 runs in 10 games with the help of one half-century. While he has yet to play in the IPL, he has ample experience in the shortest format of the game.

The Australian wicketkeeper-batsman has played 105 T20s so far and has scored 2623 runs with the help of 3 centuries and 16 half-centuries. He has a strike rate of almost 150 in T20s and more than 158 in T20Is.
