The legendary Kapil Dev is unhappy with India’s ‘talented’ batsman Sanju Samson’s inconsistent performances. Kapil, India’s first-ever World Cup-winning skipper, says that considering Samson’s potential, his batsmanship does not deserve his pay.

Kapil is frequently blown away by the present generation of Indian youngsters. He has frequently lavished praise on the majority of young and promising players while also voicing his displeasure with a few others.

As the Indian squad prepares for the T20 World Cup in Australia later this year, the wicketkeepers would be the main focus. With Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, and Dinesh Karthik all in competition, it would be fascinating to follow who gets the nod.

Kapil Dev believes he would be divided between the four stars if he had to choose between them since he considers them all to be certainly qualified with the bat and behind the stumps.

‘I am extremely upset with Sanju Samson’: Kapil Dev

Sanju Samson, the skipper of the Rajasthan Royals, is someone Kapil is ‘very furious’ with. Kapil Dev, India’s first-ever World Cup-winning captain, says that considering his talent, Samson’s batsmanship does not deserve his pay.

“To be honest, I am not sure who among the three (Karthik, Ishan, and Samson) is the finest wicketkeeper. There is not much of a change, in my opinion. However, when it comes to batting, each of them is superior. On just about any particular day, any of the three players can win the game for India.”

“Wriddhiman Saha is the better hitter of the three, while the others are far better batters. Sanju Samson has made me exceedingly angry. He possesses incredible abilities. However, the player only succeeds in 1-2 matches. It is inconsistent, “Kapil Dev told Uncut.

Samson has scored 484 and 458 runs in his last two seasons with RR, but after guiding the team to the IPL 2022 final, he was left out of India’s team for the five-match T20I series against South Africa.
