The second season of Legends League Cricket is set to kickstart on September 16 (Friday). Many former cricketers are going to be part of the tournament.
Players like Harbhajan Singh, Virendra Sehwag, and Irfan Pathan among others will be seen taking the fields during Legends League Cricket 2022. In the opening encounter on September 16, a special charity match is going to be played between India Maharajas and World Giants.

Virender Sehwag will lead the India Maharajas team while former England skipper Eoin Morgan will lead the World Giants. The special match is organised on the account of India’s 75th year of independence.

Four teams are part of Legends League Cricket 2022. They are India Capitals, Manipal Tigers, Bhilwara Kings, and Gujarat Giants The tournament will be played in a double-round robin format. Hence, each team will face the other 3 teams twice during the league stage; playing a total of 6 matches. The top three teams in the points table will qualify for playoffs.
This is the second edition of Legends League Cricket tournament. The first edition of the tournament was played earlier in January this year. There were 3 teams part of the tournament- India Maharajas, World Giants, and Asia Lions. World Giants defeated Asia Lions in the final to win the trophy.

Legends League Cricket 2022 has 4 teams that will take on each other during the tournament. They are Manipal Tigers, Bhilwara Kings, India Capitals, and Gujarat Giants. World Giants and India Maharajas will only play one special match. While India Maharajas comprise former Indian players, World Giants comprise former foreign players.
