"Loyalty Ends Where The Benefits Stop" - Prithvi Shaw Shares A Cryptic Post On Instagram

Prithvi Shaw, Team India’s standout opener, has dominated headlines in recent weeks. Shaw was ultimately chosen in India’s team for the T20I series against New Zealand earlier this year after being consistently overlooked for national selection. Shaw did not play in the series, but it appeared Shaw’s international career was on the mend until an incident on February 15 brought him back into trouble.

Prithvi Shaw was reportedly assaulted for refusing to take a photo after a dispute with a social media influencer called Sapna Gill, who then submitted an application to a Mumbai police station demanding the registration of an FIR against Shaw and others for allegedly insulting her modesty.

Prithvi Shaw Posts Cryptic Message

“Some people will only ‘love you’ as much as they can use you. Their loyalty ends where the benefits stop,” Shaw’s Instagram story read.

Prithvi Shaw last appeared for India in July 2021 during a T20I against Sri Lanka. He has since Shaw last played for India in a T20I against Sri Lanka in July 2021. He has subsequently been a reliable performer for his home team Mumbai, whom he also captained to the Ranji Trophy final last year.

Prithvi Shaw is a member of the Delhi Capitals of the Indian Premier League. The Caps kept the fiery young opener ahead of the 2022 edition; he made 283 runs in 10 matches this season, playing with an amazing strike rate of 147.45.

Shaw recently participated in a three-day training in Kolkata alongside Chetan Sakariya and Manish Pandey, among other domestic players. Sourav Ganguly, the great former India captain, oversaw the event. Shaw will play for the Capitals in the Indian Premier League.
