After Shakib Al Hasan’s well-recorded outburst, Bangladesh all-rounder Mahmudullah has been slammed with a fine of Taka 20,000 by the board for showing dissent at the on-field umpire’s decision in a Dhaka Premier Division T20 League.

Mahmudullah is the captain of Gazi Group Cricketers in the tournament. This incident is of their game against the Prime Bank. On the penultimate delivery of the 16th over during Prime Bank’s innings the Gazi Group cricketers, including Mahmudullah, appealed vociferously after Nasum Ahmed’s delivery beat the outside edge of Prime Bank’s batsman Alok Kapali.

The umpire turned down the appeal, but Mahmudullah wasn’t happy with the umpire’s decision. He let loose his frustration and temper and punched the ground before rolling on the floor. The experienced international player then just sat down on the ground for a while before getting up and taking his position in the field.
