Marnus Labuchagne was the leading run-getter in the recently concluded Border Gavaskar Series with 426 at an average of 53.25. He managed to score one century and two half-centuries in the series, but couldn’t help his team from losing the series 1-2 against the tourists India.

The former Australian opener and current head coach Justin Langer has not had the best of time, after losing the home series and reports have emerged that the Australian players not liking his headmaster’s coaching style. Tim Paine was under scrutiny after losing his second consecutive Test series to India at home, and he was also criticized for not leading the proper Australian way.
