Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up about his knock in the 42nd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 against Mumbai Indians (MI). He said that he has worked really hard and is want to contribute to his side in whatever manner he could. 

Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Yashasvi Jaiswal set the stage on fire in the ongoing IPL 2023 game against Mumbai Indians. The batter smashed his maiden century in the league and it was an innings of high stature, especially with other batters struggling to get going.

Opening the innings Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his red-hot form in the league and timed the ball to perfection. He came out all guns blazing and exhibited his ability to hit runs in all the areas of the ground.

Despite wickets falling at the other end, he took the bowlers to the cleaners and didn’t seem bothered by what was happening at the other end. Jaiswal played a lone hand for his side and single-handedly took his side over the 200-run mark.

He ended with a score of 124 off 62 balls whereas the rest of the batters managed just 63 off 57, which sums up what a special innings it was from the young batter. Jaiswal batted with a strike rate of 200 runs and smashed 16 fours and 8 sixes in his innings that helped RR posted a total of 212 runs. 

Yashasvi Jaiswal opened up about his knock and said that although it’s a special milestone for him but it was just a game and he wants to continue batting the same. Speaking during the mid-innings he said: 

“I think I enjoyed every part of my innings. I was thinking right, planning right and hitting the right shots. I have practised all the shots that I want to play. Every time I hold a bat, be it in the nets or the match, I feel the same way. I have worked hard with Zubin sir. It is really special but it is just one game and I want to keep going. I know my role in the team, make sure run-rate is high and contribute in whatever way possible to the team.”
