Mohammad Nabi Bought By Mumbai Indians For 1.50 Crores In IPL Auction 2024

Veteran Afghanistan allrounder Mohammad Nabi will be a part of the Mumbai Indians camp for the next season of the Indian Premier League. The 38-year-old went unsold in the first round before being signed up for his base price of Rs 1.5 cores by the five-time IPL champions.

Mohammad Nabi is one of the most experienced players in the world. A spin-bowling allrounder, the Afghan veteran does have the ability to change the course of a game with both bat and ball. Mohammad Nabi’s journey in the IPL began in 2017 on a historic note as he became the first-ever cricketer from his country to get an IPL contract.

He was signed up by Sunrisers Hyderabad before being bought by them again in 2018. In 2022, he was signed up by two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders. Mohammad Nabi has played 17 games in the IPL so far and has scored 180 runs in addition to taking 13 wickets.
