Mohammad Rizwan Says Cheteshwar Pujara Is Second Only To Younis Khan In Terms Of Concentration And Focus

When asked about Pujara’s hitting abilities, Rizwan identified the three batters he thinks are the best, with the Indian placing second. Former Pakistan skipper Younis Khan was first on his list, followed by fellow Pakistan batsman Fawad Alam.
In the County Championships, Mohammad Rizwan and Cheteshwar Pujara are playing together for Sussex.

The duo of Cheteshwar Pujara and Mohammad Rizwan has kept the India and Pakistan fans glued to the County Championships over the past month. The two players are representing Sussex in the Championships, and Pujara, in particular, has produced magnificent performances so far.

The Indian batter has scored 719 runs in four matches for the side so far and is currently the second-highest scorer in the season. During a match against Durham, the duo forged a 154-run stand; while Pujara slammed a double-century (203), Rizwan scored an important 79.

When asked about Pujara’s hitting abilities, Rizwan identified the three batters he thinks are the best, with the Indian coming in second. Former Pakistan skipper Younis Khan was first on his list, followed by fellow Pakistan batter Fawad Alam.

“However, he (Pujara) is a very nice and caring individual. Along with his concentration and focus. If you have the opportunity to learn something, take advantage of it. In regards to concentration levels, I informed the coaches here as well. Younis Bhai, Fawad Alam, and his [Pujara’s] have had the most focus and concentration throughout my career.”
“In terms of pure concentration and focus, Pujara is second on my list, while Fawad Alam is third. “These three players are among my favorites,” Rizwan stated.
This season, Pujara has averaged 143.40 with four hundred in seven innings, and he gave Rizwan some advice on how to bat in English conditions.
