England Women’s Cricket Team is all set to lock horns against West Indies for a white ball leg tour starting from 04th  December.  England is due to play 3 ODIs and 5 T20Is in the tour. The 3 ODI Match Series is going to be a part of the ICC Championship which would be quite fascinating to watch.

The 5 T20I match series is quite pivotal as it would serve as a stepping stone for the upcoming T20 World Cup in South Africa. The pitches in West Indies are quite testing as scoring won’t be easy in those conditions for the batters.

Nat Sciver on Vice Captaincy

Nat Sciver had earlier taken an indefinite break from cricket to focus on mental health and well-being. “Elite sport demands a lot and for the moment I’m not able to perform without compromising my own wellbeing . So I need to take some time away from cricket in order to focus on myself. It’s the right decision for me and it’s the right decision for the team.” said Nat Sciver in September.

The Cricketer has been out of action since Commonwealth Games. It would be interesting to see how the management responds to her decision not to take up the vice-captaincy role.

Exciting Contest on Cards

England Women’s Cricket Team would be well aware of the fact that they cannot take West Indies lightly. The team had a topsy-turvy outing against India where they won the T20I Series but lost the ODI Series as their batting was exposed in the leg. That ODI series was famous for the mankading incident which shook the World Cricket.

West Indies Women’s Cricket Team would be aiming to stamp their authority against England. England’s weakness is spin where they would try to expose that. England would be banking on the skipper Heather Knight to lead the team. It won’t be wrong to say that England holds a slight edge over West Indies as they have got a lot of match-winners present in the team.
