In the Test series at home against England, Pakistan suffered a devastating 0-3 loss. With their new aggressive cricket style, the tourists destroyed Babar Azam and company. In the first match of the series, the tourists managed a razor-thin 74-run victory on a lifeless Rawalpindi pitch. Then, in the second Test in Multan, they overcame Pakistan by 24 runs before winning convincingly by eight wickets on Tuesday in the third and final Test in Karachi.

Pakistan was also eliminated from contention for the World Test Championship (WTC) as a result of the loss. This was Pakistan’s fourth consecutive home Test defeat, three against England and the fourth against Australia in the preceding series.

Haris Rauf hailed Babar Azam as Pakistan’s pride:

Babar Azam, the captain of Pakistan, scored 348 runs from six innings, including 103 fifty runs, demonstrating his excellent batting technique. However, in the wake of the disappointing outcome, his leadership skills came under scrutiny once more. While the captain was being criticized, his teammate and pacer Haris Rauf spoke out in the skipper’s defense.

Haris Rauf took to social media and wrote, “Ap hamaray leader ho or raho ga hamesha inshallah”

Pakistan currently sits sixth in the WTC standings. England, on the other hand, is sixth on the nine-team table, with Australia leading the way, followed by India.

Pakistan will attempt to ignite a comeback against New Zealand in a three-Test series beginning on December 26th.
