Liam Livingstone, an all-rounder for England, will miss the remainder of the Test series against Pakistan due to a right knee injury. As a result of a knee injury received while fielding on the boundary, Livingstone suffered a setback on day two and was unable to bowl.

On Tuesday, when he gets back to the UK, he’ll start getting treatment from the ECB and the Lancashire medical staff, respectively. England has not yet decided whether or not to call up a replacement.

Not A Dream Debut Test Match For Liam Livingstone

The 29-year-old Liam Livingstone has had a successful international white-ball cricket career, earning a reputation for his destructive batting and adaptable spin bowling. He received his first red-ball call-up for England’s first Test tour of Pakistan in 17 years, and Jonny Bairstow, another England player, gave him his first cap.

In the opening game in Rawalpindi, which got underway on Thursday, Livingstone was selected for the starting lineup. England got off to a record-breaking start in that game, amassing a staggering 657 runs on a flat pitch by the end of their innings.

The rookie got in on the action with a six into the upper deck, but after mistiming a flick that caught the player at deep square leg with which he had made nine runs in his maiden Test innings, he had to follow fellow Cumbrian Ben Stokes back to the dressing room.

First Test Expecting A Thrilling Finish

On the last day of this first Test, Bazball was on a Rawalpindi rampage. England made a deliberate declaration and unleashed a barrage of short balls that originally left Pakistan in search of a lofty 343 runs for victory.
