The Pakistan cricket board has allowed batsman Umar Akmal to resume club cricket as part of the rehabilitation process for not reporting corrupt activities. Subsequently, Akmal was banned for 12 months and had to go through anti-corruption lectures to get himself back in the reckonings.

The 31-year-old last played for Pakistan in 2019 and was banned for 3 years for his actions which were reduced to 12 months this year. Akmal still has lots to offer for Pakistan in the coming years and he has decent numbers in all three formats in international cricket. Having come up through the ranks of Under-19 cricket, Akmal has almost played for 10 years already in international cricket until he was banned.
