In the new Future Tours Program of the ICC, which spans from 2023 to 2027, the Pakistan Cricket Board is developing a project to host an annual three-nation T20 series alongside Australia and England.

The suggested idea is anticipated to be presented during the ICC meetings set to take place in Birmingham during the Commonwealth Games, according to a credible source familiar with the situation. PCB chairman Ramiz Raja.

According to reports, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ramiz Raja will present the proposed plan at the ICC meetings planned for Birmingham during the Commonwealth Games.

“The board is starting to work on the strategy, which is an alternative to the four-nation annual event proposed by Ramiz at the last ICC meeting, which did not receive the necessary support from other representatives and has been quashed,” the source said.

Given the already-existing political and diplomatic ties between Pakistan and India, as well as the Indian Cricket Board’s lackadaisical approach to the four-nation proposal, he claimed the PCB has now omitted India from their proposed program and only retained Australia and England.

“It will soon be figured out how to locate a brief opening for the tri-series, and Ramiz believes it can be done every year. The source claimed that Ramiz may effectively pitch his tri-series idea by using any request made by the Indian board to extend the window for its IPL at the ICC conference.”

“Pakistan Cricket Board has good personal ties to BCCI President Saurav Ganguly and other board heads, and he is quiet convinced the tri-series plan can be carried out by next year.”

According to the source, Ramiz had discussed the proposal with the ECB and Cricket Australia’s top executives while they were in Pakistan, and the reaction was favourable.

In the new FTP, “Ramiz firmly believes that bilateral series do not seem to have a particularly bright future.

The planned idea is anticipated to be presented during the ICC meetings set to take place in Birmingham during the Commonwealth Games by PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja.
