Pakistan Playing XI vs Sri Lanka- Pakistan T20I Tri Series 2025, Final:

Openers: Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub

Pakistan would want to shrug off the close defeat in the last match against Sri Lanka and aim to win the final against the same opposition.

For that to happen, Pakistani openers will have to get the team off to a good start, which wasn't the case in the previous match as both Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub were dismissed in the first six overs.

Both Sahibzada and Farhan have been a hit or miss as far as their performance, both as a partnership and as individuals, is concerned since they have been given a consistent run in the team.

The captain and the coach would wish for the openers to have a good outing with the bat and lay a platform for the middle order batters to capatalize on.

Middle-order batsmen and all-rounders: Babar Azam, Salman Agha (c), Usman Khan (wk), Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf

Like the openers, experienced batters like Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman failed to make any contribution, leaving the team in a spot of bother before captain Salman Ali Agha and Usman Khan formed a much-needed partnership.

The duo would like to get back on track in the all-important game and lead their team to victory

After the lack of responsible batting from four of the top six batters, captain Salman Ali Agha started the rescue act and was joined by Usman Khan, both of whom provided some sort of respectability to the score before Usman threw his wicket away.

Agha, who shifted gears after a slow start, remained unbeaten till the end and was involved in another vital partnership with Mohammad Nawaz, who was dismissed in the penultimate, leaving too much for the captain to do.

Having said that, regardless of the loss, the hosts would back themselves to showcase their full potential with the bat in the final.

Bowlers: Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abrar Ahmed

As far as the bowling attack for this particular match is concerned, it might see the return of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, both of whom will kick off the innings from either end.

Other than the two pacers, the Men in Green is expected to go into the match with a couple of spinners and one fast bowling all-rounder in the form of Faheem Ashraf.

Mohammad Nawaz and Abrar Ahmed will take care of the spin bowling department, with Saim Ayub and Salman Ali Agha also chipping in with an over or two if required, as they did in the last match.

However, the bowling combination might change if the management feels that dew will play its part in the game.
