Pakistan vs South Africa 2021, 2nd T20I: Match Preview
The hosts Pakistan edged out their opponents South Africa in the T20I series opener, majorly thanks to their opening batsman and wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan. Apart from his maiden T20I century, which was also his second consecutive T20I fifty, Rizwan also played a crucial role as a wicket-keeper, especially to dismiss the set opening batsman Reeza Hendricks at the crucial moment of the second innings.
While Pakistan scored 169/6 in that match, Rizwan scored over 60% runs of the side. So, the other batsmen failed to provide proper support to their in-form wicket-keeper batsman.
Bowlers also disappointed in the powerplay. However, after the powerplay, the hosts quickly got the control of the match by restricting the opposition batsmen. Finally, they just managed to claim the series-leading victory.
Pakistan will secure their victory in this T20I series with another victory in the last two games.

The last match ended in the too close but too far situation for the visitors South Africa, who always made crucial comebacks but failed to utilise those situations properly, just like their performances in the Test series in this Pakistan tour.
While South African bowlers provided the good start in the first innings of the last T20I, they were mostly disciplined, except their failure to dismiss the centurion Mohammad Rizwan.
Chasing down the 170 runs target, openers Janneman Malan and Reeza Hendricks provided a very good start. After Malan was dismissed in the seventh over by playing a quick knock, Hendricks controlled the innings despite not getting proper support from the other end. But after scoring a half-century, Hendricks lost his wicket through a run-out after his big confusion with the non-striker-end partner and the wicket-keeper Rizwan’s brilliant work.
Though their late batsmen tried their best at the end, South Africa just failed to end their losing streak. They have lost all their last five T20Is. Meanwhile, they can’t afford another defeat in this T20I series as they must have to win both the remaining games to win this T20I series.

Pakistan vs South Africa 2021, 2nd T20I: Match Prediction
South Africa lost all their last five T20Is while Pakistan are also not consistent enough. Talking about the ongoing South Africa tour of Pakistan, the visitors have always fought till the last moment, but the hosts have always overcame in the right time.
For the penultimate match of this T20I series, Pakistan are favourite but South Africa have the last chance to return in this T20I series.
