Former India cricketer Pragyan Ojha explained why Rohit and Dravid are always on Virat Kohli’s side.

Virat Kohli is racing against the clock to get back into shape for the T20 World Cup. Since his last century in November 2019, the modern-day run machine appears to have lost its magic touch.

Amid a slump, there is growing speculation about his spot in the T20 format. But one point is certain: India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are optimistic about Kohli’s comeback.

Former India cricketer Pragyan Ojha clarified why Rohit and Dravid continue to back Virat Kohli in a recent interview with journalist Jamie Alter.
“When you speak about Virat Kohli, you have to comprehend what he has accomplished it is not normal.” Getting those 70 hundred in about ten years is incredible “

“Who are the other players who have done something similar? There are not many. That is why Rohit Sharma, Rahul Dravid, and the rest of the team are actively looking for him.”

‘Kohli’s stature will be key for Team India’: Pragyan Ojha

A player of Kohli’s calibre, in Ojha’s opinion, will be crucial for Team India in the next ICC competitions. Not only is he an accomplished cricketer, but he also understands how to turn those 30s and 40s into centuries.

“They are aware that once he receives that one blow, things will change and Virat Kohli would revert to his previous form. Any side would stop at nothing to acquire Virat Kohli if they were competing for the T20 World Cup and the 50-over World Cup and had him on their team. It is only a question of time, in my opinion.”

“The bar was set so high when he used to bat and make hundreds that now we do not talk about Virat getting a 30 or 40 Because the standard is 100, even his 50 counts as a failure.”

There are rumours that Kohli might be included for the forthcoming visit of Zimbabwe, where India will play three ODIs because he is currently on rest for the ongoing India tour of the West Indies.
