PSL 2021, Match 10: Peshawar Zalmi vs Islamabad United – Match Preview And Prediction

Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United will take on each other at National Stadium (Karachi) this Saturday (27th February) night during the 10th match of the PSL 2021.

Both Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United have 4 points each in this PSL season but Zalmi have played three games and United have played two games in this tournament.

Last Friday night, Peshawar Zalmi registered a dramatic three-wicket victory against Quetta Gladiators as they have now won two games out of their first three matches of this PSL 2021. Earlier in this tournament, Zalmi started with a 4-wicket defeat against Lahore Qalanders but claimed a 6-wicket win against Multan Sultans.

English cricketer Ravi Bopara has played only one match in this PSL season where he scored 50 runs. Meanwhile, after scoring the match-winning 24 not out off 8 balls in their previous game, Haider Ali played another crucial knock of 50 runs on the last night. In their first victory of this season, Tom-Kohler Cadmore scored 53 runs. On the other hand, after getting out for a duck, Imam-ul-Haq has scored 48 and 41 runs respectively.

Among their bowlers, Saqib Mahmood has taken 7 wickets while Wahab Riaz has bagged 4 wickets in this PSL season.

Islamabad United have got a very good start in the PSL 2021 as they have won both of their matches in this season as they beat Multan Sultans (by 3 wickets) and defending champions Karachi Kings (by 5 wickets).

Though they haven’t any half-centurion in this season yet, there are some crucial 40s from Iftikhar Ahmed (49* vs Karachi Kings), Hussain Talat (42 vs Karachi Kings) and English cricketers Alex Hales (46 off 21 balls vs Karachi Kings) as well as Lewis Gregory (49* vs Multan Sultans). In their first two games of this season, their late middle-order batsmen have put crucial contributions to those successful chasings.

Ahead of their upcoming match, only Mohammad Wasim Jr (3 wickets in 2 matches) has taken more than two wickets among their bowlers. While Lewis Gregory won the Player of the Match award in the first game for his crucial all-round contributions (2/31 & 49*), all-rounder Faheem Ashraf is also currently in very good form.
