PSL 2023: "I Don't Care About Pace, I Care About Performance"- Zaman Khan Throws Up A Challenge To Umran Malik

The Pakistan speedster Zaman Khan didn’t mince his words as he talked about the comparisons with Umran Malik.
Team India star Umran Malik enjoyed a breakthrough year in 2022; the star pacer produced consistent performances for his Indian Premier League franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad and consequently received a maiden India call-up in June.

Umran is still a crucial part of India’s white-ball squad despite not being one of the team’s original 15 players for the T20 World Cup. The bowler gained notoriety for his terrifying pacer and made history by becoming India’s fastest bowler when he recorded 156kph in the first ODI against Sri Lanka last month in Guwahati.

Shoaib Akhtar, a renowned quick from Pakistan who presently holds the record for fastest-recorded delivery in international cricket, has been compared to Malik.

“Your pace is natural to you”: Zaman Khan’s furious comment on Umran Malik’s comparison

Another Pakistani bowler, Zaman Khan, age 21, is causing a stir with his lightning-fast delivery. Local media are comparing Zaman, who competes for the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League, to Umran. Zaman was questioned about the Umran resemblance before the eight seasons of Pakistan’s franchise T20 league began.
The Pakistani teenager, on the other hand, had a very obvious response.  “If you talk about pace… I don’t really care about pace. I care about performances. It’s the performance that matters. Your pace is natural to you,” Zaman told local media in an interaction, posted by paktv. tv on their YouTube channel.

Zaman hasn’t yet played for Pakistan, but during his career, he’s collected 40 wickets in 30 T20 games. Additionally, he has played in seven List A games and claimed six wickets. The Qalandars will use the right-arm pacer in the upcoming PSL season.
