PSL 2023: Watch - Babar Azam Smashes 6 Sixes In Training Session

The PSL 2023 started with a bang as the World Cricket witnessed a cracker of a match between Lahore Qalandars & Multan Sultans. Lahore Qalandars against the run of play won the match by a solitary run. Babar Azam has shifted his base from Karachi Kings as in this edition he will play for Peshawar Zalmi.

Quite a few experts believe that PSL is the biggest league after IPL as there is a fascinating contest between teams and there is a lot of star overseas players in a team. Peshawar Zalmi is going to play their opening fixture against Karachi Kings on 14th February (Tuesday). Skipper Babar Azam was seen in a training session where, unlike his natural game, the batter whacked 6 sixes and stunned everyone. Perhaps, it was a sign that the World Cricket would witness a vintage Babar Azam after a disappointing T20 WC 2022 with the bat.

Exciting League on Cards

PCB would be hoping that they get their bench strength as in the last couple of months, Pakistani players suffered a lot of injuries. In the changing landscape of cricket, the board must have separate squads as playing multiple formats looks unlikely. Pakistan against all the odds had a brilliant T20 WC but they would have been happy if they had clinched the title where they lost the final against England.

PCB Chairman Najam Sethi would be well aware of the fact that they must rotate the players, Shaheen Afridi’s injury hurt Pakistan a lot as he missed the bumper home season where they lost against England & New Zealand which cost them a World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final spot.
