The National Cricket Academy head coach Rahul Dravid’s tenure is set to come to an end and the BCCI has invited applications for the post with the former likely to reapply for a two-year extension. Dravid has been a key contributor in building up a strong Indian bench and it was visible in the Australia series.

He has worked closely with the NCA players and also has been the former India U-19 coach and India- A coach keeping a close relationship with the players. He is one of the greatest cricketers to have played the game with an excellent technique and temperament.

Ravi Shastri Might Part Ways For Rahul Dravid

Ravi Shastri’s tenure is likely to end as the head coach of India will come to an end in November after the T20 Worldcup and there have already been clear signs of Rahul Dravid looking the best replacement as of now.

Dravid traveled with a young Indian team to Sri Lanka for a three-match ODI and T20 international series and he had a great impact on the team immediately. Even if he isn’t replacing Ravi Shastri, he will retain his position as head coach of NCA.

Rahul Dravid Expresses His Views On The Next Indian Head Coach

Rahul Dravid in an interview in Sri Lanka mentioned that he hasn’t thought about replacing Ravi Shastri as the head coach of India and added that he had been enjoying the stint as of now. The youngsters put up a good fight in the series against Sri Lanka and it was a learning curve for the future as stated by Rahul Dravid.
