Former CAC Member Anshuman Gaekwad revealed that the commentary stints and his deep understanding of the game had worked in favor of Ravi Shastri to be reappointed as India’s head coach. Ravi Shastri was always one of the favorite commentators for any viewers in the world, because of the conviction he brings to his statements and his ideologies.

His words as a commentator on the final moments in India’s World Cup triumph in 2007 and in the 2011 World cup was something extraordinary and still has been on the ears of the people always. Ravi Shastri was the first Indian to hit six sixes in an over and he was there in the commentary box when Yuvraj Singh did the same. His reactions and words on Yuvraj’s six sixes were unbelievable and certainly, he is another league from the commentators.
