“Rishabh Pant's Condition Is Stable” – Dehradun's Max Hospital Provide Big Update On Cricketer After Car Accident

Dehradun’s Max Hospital has provided a massive update on the health condition of the India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant after his car accident.

Pant’s car accident took place in the early hours of Friday, December 30, when he was driving from New Delhi to Roorkee in Uttarakhand to pay his family a surprise visit.

Reportedly, he dozed off and his Mercedes GLE car collided with the divider railings on the Delhi-Haridwar highway and then turned a few times before turning into a ball of fire. The police informed that Pant somehow managed to exit the burning automobile after shattering its windscreen.

Following the horrific car crash, Rishabh Pant was taken to a local hospital for treatment and was later shifted to the Max Hospital in Dehradun.

“The incident took place between 5:30 and 6 AM. Rishabh Pant’s car met with an accident in which he sustained some injuries. He was taken to Saksham Hospital where a team of doctors looked after him. He was then referred to Dehradun’s Max Hospital for better treatment,” a statement from the police read, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

In the first official update released by Dehradun’s Max Hospital, it was stated that Rishabh Pant is under observation and his condition is stable.

“Cricketer Rishabh Pant is under the observation of Orthopedics & plastic surgeons. His condition is stable. His detailed medical bulletin will be released once he’s examined. Thereafter, we’ll take the next steps,” said Dr Ashish Yagnik, Max Hospital, Dehradun, as quoted by Hindustan Times.

The wicketkeeper-batter Pant suffered several serious injuries following the accident. Dr Sushil Nagar, who led the emergency treatment, revealed that Pant has lacerative wounds on his forehead, one right above the left eye; there is a ligament tear in his knee; and abrasions on his back, reported ESPNcricinfo.

Also, it is being told that Rishabh Pant would at least require plastic surgery and skin grafting due to the damage caused to his back.
