Quinton de Kock, the South African wicketkeeper, has been ruled out of the third One-Day International (ODI) against England, according to Cricket South Africa (CSA). While maintaining wicket during the second ODI at Bloemfontein, De Kock injured his right thumb.

Despite the fact that the injury was not significant, the medical staff urged de Kock to refrain from fielding or keeping wicket in order to prevent exacerbating the ailment.

Quinton de Kock Rested As A Precaution

It was decided to rest de Kock as a precaution, and it is yet unknown who would take his position for the third match. De Kock is regarded as one of the squad’s main players, and his absence will undoubtedly affect how well the South African cricket team performs.

The 30-year-old De Kock has made a name for himself as one of the top wicketkeepers in international cricket. He is renowned for his forceful batting style and lightning-fast reflexes at the stumps. His recent performance has been outstanding, as seen by his two half-centuries in the first two ODIs against England.
