Raina last represented India in a T20 match against England in February 2017.
Almost after a year, Raina has finally been included in the national side. Raina scored a century and two half-centuries in the business end of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy.
Raina will join the Indian team for the three-match T20 international series. India lost the three-match Test series 1-2 but made a fantastic comeback in the ODI series as they took an unassailable 4-1 lead in six-match series on Tuesday in Port Elizabeth.
The sixth and final ODI is scheduled to be played on Friday in Centurion and would be followed by a three-match T20 series.
The left-handed batsman has left for the Rainbow nation as he Tweeted, “En route Joburg. Can’t wait to get started. @Dubai International Airport https://www.instagram.com/p/BfNKhHVngy-/”
