The SA vs WI second T20I will be played in Centurion on March 26 Sunday. West Indies won the first T20I which was a shortened game by three wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the series. The Windies will be looking for a win in the second T20I to complete a series win while the hosts would look to level the series and take it to the decider on Tuesday (March 28).

In an 11-overs-per-side game. South Africa batted first and scored 131/8 in the first T20I. David Miller scored 48 off 22 balls in the middle-order after Reeza Hendricks scored 21 off 12 balls opening the batting. Sisanda Magala scored an unbeaten 18 as a combined batting effort took the Proteas to that score. For West Indies Sheldon Cottrell and Odean Smith took two wickets each.

Windies skipper Rovman Powell scored an unbeaten 43 off 18 balls to take his side home. This was after Brandon King (23 off 8) gave a quick start to the team. Johnson Charles (23) and Nicholas Pooran (16) also scored crucial runs. Magala took back to back wickets to scare the Windies in the 10th over but Powell finished the game off in the 11th over with 8 needed to win.

Both South Africa and West Indies played last in the T20 World Cup. While West Indies failed to qualify for the Super 12 stage, South Africa lost to the Netherlands to bow out of the tournament. The two teams have played 16 T20Is so far with the Proteas winning 10 while the Windies just six.

South Africa have the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, David Miller and Rilee Rossouw back in the squad for the T20I series. At home, they have chosen a full-strength squad for the T20I series. Skipper Aiden Markram now has a tough challenge on his hands to win the second game and take the series to the decider as his captaincy will be tested.

The likes of NicholasPooran, Jason Holder, Johnson Charles, Rovman Powell himself and a good set of T20I bowlers makes West Indies an evenly matched team to their opponents. West Indies lost the Test series 2-0 and drew the ODI series heading into the T20I series. They have specialist players in this format and hence will back themselves to win the T20I series.
