She Thought I Was Really Arrogant, I Thought She Was Really Arrogant - Jasprit Bumrah On The First Impression Of His Wife Sanjana Ganesan

Star India pacer Jasprit Bumrah revealed that he and his now-wife, Sanjana Ganesan, didn’t have great views of each other early on. In fact, they both thought the other one was, in the speedster’s word, “arrogant”.

Jasprit Bumrah, arguably the best all-format pacer in the world currently, tied the knot with Sanjana earlier this March in a private ceremony in Goa. Sanjana has been a sports presenter for the past few years and has been acclaimed for her outstanding work in front of the camera.

The 27-year-old pacer said that while their initial impressions of each weren’t ideal, they became good friends during the 2019 World Cup in England. The friendship turned closer and then bonded for life with each other.

“I had obviously seen her a lot of times but we had the same problem with each other. She thought I was really arrogant, I thought she was really arrogant so we never really spoke. I spoke to her for the first time during the 2019 World Cup when she was here covering the event. We became friends and started talking a lot. It’s been good, we have been married for five months now, so yeah very happy,” Jasprit Bumrah said while chatting with Dinesh Karthik for Sky Sports.

Belonging to the sports broadcasting team, Jasprit Bumrah further stated, Sanjana understands the struggles and the mindset of a player, and that has helped their relationship get stronger further.

The Mumbai Indians pacer pointed out that since the wife can now travel with the player, it has benefitted in a way so he can switch off after the game in presence of his wife.

“She understands the sport, she understands what the player goes through, so whenever things don’t go well or go well, we have a lot of interesting conversations, that really helps me.

”And, obviously, playing cricket and travelling all the time, you’ve got your wife with you now, so, you really have to focus on other things as well. You can switch off after the game. All these factors are really helpful and I’m really happy how this relationship has developed,” Bumrah added.

Jasprit Bumrah is currently in England for the red-ball matches; he will then fly to the UAE for the second half of the IPL 2021 followed by the T20 World Cup. India’s hopes for winning the eluded ICC title will rest on one of their greatest ever fast bowlers.
