Gujarat Titans have signed up Australian bowler Spencer Johnson for a whopping amount of Rs 10 crore in the ongoing IPL auction 2024. The left-arm pacer had registered himself at a base price of Rs 50 lakh base.

Apart from Gujarat Titans, Kolkata Knight Riders also showed interest in signing up the left-arm pacer but eventually pulled out as Gujarat Titans secured his services for Rs 10 lakh.

While Kolkata Knight Riders missed out on Spencer Johnson, they did manage to buy Mitchell Johnson earlier in the auction. The two-time IPL champions went all out for the World Cup-winning pacer and signed him up for a staggering amount of Rs 24.75 crores, thus making him the most expensive player in the history of the IPL.

Talking about Spencer Johnson, he has played 1 ODI and two T20Is for Australia so far. He made his debut in both formats earlier this year and has 2 wickets in international cricket so far.
