A 15-year-old schoolboy showed remarkable passion and dedication for cricket as he cycled for hours to watch the ongoing second India vs Bangladesh Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The final Test of the two-match series got underway on Friday (September 27).

While thousands of fans attended the game in the stadium, no one managed to capture everyone's attention like the 15-year-old Kartikey did. A schoolboy living in Unnao, the teenager cycled a staggering 58 kilometers to reach the venue and catch a glimpse of his cricketing hero, Virat Kohli.

The teenager revealed that he started his journey at 4 am in the morning and reached the stadium after seven long hours. Kartikey said that his family supported his decision and gave him permission to go to Kanpur by cycle. He also revealed that he came to the stadium to watch Virat Kohli in action.

Unfortunately, Kartikey could not see Virat Kohli bat on Friday as India opted to bowl first after winning the toss. With conditions favorable for bowling, captain Rohit Sharma did not hesitate in bowling first.

It was the first time in 9 years that India opted to field first in a Test match at home. The last time they decided to bowl first in a home Test was in the 2015 Bengaluru Test against South Africa.

Opening day of India - Bangladesh Test marred by rain:

The opening day of the Kanpur Test was marred by rain. Only 35 overs were bowled on the day as the umpires called off the day early. At stumps, Bangladesh were on 107/3. Mominul Haque and Mushfiqur Rahim will start the proceedings with the bat on day two. For the home side, Akash Deep picked up two wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin claimed one.

India are currently leading the series after winning the first Test in Chennai. The Rohit Sharma-led side thrashed the visitors by 280 runs to take an unassailable lead. Set a target of 515 runs, Bangladesh were bowled out for 234 runs.
