Trent Boult was troubling Ajinkya Rahane [15 off 40 balls] with the away going deliveries throughout his spell.
But, once Rahane smashed with him with a ferocious square-cut for a boundary, it looked as if the Indian vice-captain was finally getting on top of him.
But, once again, Ajinkya Rahane ensured a soft dismissal as Trent Boult proceeded to strangle him down the leg side.
Rahane got a faint edge and BJ Watling did the rest by taking a simple catch.
Once Rahane edged it, he knew that he was in huge trouble and, as a result, he didn’t even bother to wait for the umpire’s finger to go up.
Rahane’s wicket means India are five down with just 94 runs ahead. The onus is now firmly on Rishabh Pant, who is living dangerously, and Ravindra Jadeja to get India to a respectable total.
