Watch – Australian All-Rounder Hilton Cartwright Grabs An Absolutely Stupendous Flying Catch In Marsh Cup

The 30-year-old Australian fast bowling all-rounder Hilton Cartwright grabbed an absolutely sensational catch to dismiss all-rounder Moises Henriques during the final of the Marsh Cup between Western Australia and New South Wales at the Junction Oval, Melbourne on March 11.

Western Australia had won the toss and opted to bat first in the Marsh Cup final. The top-order batters struggled but lower-order batted decently to help the team post 225/9 on the board. Jhye Richardson was the top run-getter for the team with 44 runs under his belt off 64 deliveries.

Chasing the target, New South Wales were off to a decent start and after losing some quick wickets all-rounder Moises Henriques was batting cautiously from one end and Ben Dwarshuis was doing a good job at the other end when NSW were at 204-7.

NSW were inching closer to the victory as they needed just 22 runs off 36 balls with three wickets remaining.

However, in 44th over, which was bowled by D’Arcy Short, things changed as Henriques came down the track to smash the first ball of the over towards long-on.

Meanwhile, WA fielder Hilton Cartwright sprinted a few metres to his left and dove full-length to grab the outstanding airborne catch.

The commentators were in disbelief after looking at Hilton Cartwright’s catch.

“Oh my god! Look at that by Hilton Cartwright. Under pressure, horizontal. What a catch,” said one commentator.

“That is an incredible catch. One of the best catches you will see in the Marsh Cup,” said another.

Meanwhile, in the end, Western Australia bowlers did a good job and they won the final of the tournament by 18 runs.
