A stump-mic conversation between Pakistan fast bowlers- Mohammad Abbas and Naseem Shah– on the first day of the 2nd Test against hosts New Zealand has gone viral.
The conversation between the duo took place at the end of the 82nd over of Pakistan’s innings with their score reading 9/293.
During the break, Nassem Shah told his senior partner that the entire onus of leading the batting-unit is on him now and that if his senior pro doesn’t take singles, he will be scolded.
“Abbas bhai aapko pata hai sari zimmedaari mere upar hai, single karna hai varna daant pad jaayegi” (Abbas bhai, the onus of the batting now is upon me. You have to take a single, otherwise you will be scolded).” said Naseem Shah to Mohammad Abbas as the latter burst into laughter.
Naseem, however, fell in the very next over bowled by Trent Boult for a 9-ball 12 as Pakistan folded for 297 in their first innings.

Azhar Ali and Mohammad Rizwan led Pakistan to a respectable total amid another Kyle Jamieson onslaught
Abid Ali and Azhar Ali stitched a brisk 62-run-stand before Kyle Jamieson’s triple strike where he knocked over Abid Ali, Haris Sohail, and the centurion from the last game, Fawad Alam, reduced Pakistan to 4/88.
However, Azhar Ali’s brilliant 93 and yet another substantial knock by skipper Mohammad Rizwan (61) followed by handy contributions from Faheem Ashraf (48) and Zafar Gohar (34) helped the tourists get to a respectable 297.
