After the Test series, West Indies are South Africa will play a five-match T20I series between June 26-July 03. South Africa beat the Windies 2-0 in the Test series. Heading into the T20I series, Windies are placed 10th in the rankings while South Africa sixth. England leads the list with India and New Zealand placed second and third respectively.
After getting a beating from the Proteas in the Test series, West Indies will be looking to avenge the defeat in the T20I series. The defending champions of the World T20 will be looking to do adequate preparations heading into the mega event later this year. South Africa enjoys a 6-4 ratio in the 10 T20Is played between the two sides so far.
The West Indies T20I side looks like a stronger team with the return of Kieron Pollard, Andre Russell, Lendl Simmons, and Chris Gayle into the squad. All of them featured in the T20I series against Sri Lanka in April earlier this year. The Caribbean side won the series 2-1. Kieron Pollard, who led the Windie in that series will lead them in this series as well. Temba Bavuma is the newly appointed T20I skipper in the opposition.
