Former mental and health conditioning coach of the Indian Cricket Team, Paddy Upton, has made startling revelations in his autobiography titled ‘The Barefoot Coach’
Upton, in his book, has revealed that he had advised the Indian players to have sex before the match prior to the 2011 World Cup.
Paddy Upton also recalled how he had prepared notes for Indian players before the 2009 Champions Trophy where he had listed how having sex helps in enhancing on-field performances.
In the notes prepared for the players, Paddy mentioned,
“Does having sex improve your performance? Yes, it grows.”
The former coach also recalled that his advice had angered head coach Gary Kirsten and he later apologized for the same.
Upton was a part of the Gary Kirsten-led coaching staff of the Indian Cricket Team between 2008-11 and his tenure came to an end with the 2011 World Cup win in Mumbai.
