The WI vs BAN T20I series has reached the decider as West Indies and Bangladesh go head to head in the third and final T20I in Guyana on July 8. The Tigers are trailing 0-1 in the three-match series after the first T20I was rained out and they lost the second. They need to win the second T20I to win draw the series.

West Indies scored 193/5 in the second T20I. Bangladesh lost the game by 35 runs after they reached only as far as 158/6 trying to chase down the score. Skipper Mahmudullah scored just 11. Ahead of the start of the series, he spoke about playing with aggressive intent in the T20I series but the intent was completely missing.

“In T20Is, you have very little time in the game, so you need to be very much aware of the conditions that will be provided. The game sense has to be applied. Our motto will be to be very positive and aggressive at the same time,” Mahmudullah said ahead of the first T20I.

Heading into the final T20I, they must back the players who played in the second T20I to help them level the series. The senior players including the skipper must stand up and take responsibility for scoring crucial runs for the side.

Opener Anamul Haque scored just three in the second T20I. He should get his team to a good start if the Tigers have any hopes of winning the second T20I. So far, the keeper-batter has played 15 T20Is for Bangladesh.
