West Indies and New Zealand go head to head in the third and final T20I of the three-match series on Sunday, August 14, in Jamaica. The match starts at 12 am (IST) which is 1.30 pm local time. New Zealand won the first two games and thereby the series.

Kane Williamson on his return has led his side to a dominating win over the Windies. The Kiwis won the first T20I by 13 runs and the second by a massive 90-run margin. Williamson was elated with the series win on his return. He was out of the game for a long time due to health and fitness issues.

“It was a fantastic performance by the team. Outstanding contributions with the bat and backed up well with the ball and the field.. The guys stuck together, a good all-round performance. We want to give guys clear roles. Keep it nice and simple and ensure they belong. We will see the pitch and then decide on the combination we want to play in the next game” said Williamson after winning the second T20I.

Meanwhile, the West Indies’ batting performances continue to go on a downward slide for a long time now. Skipper Nicholas Pooran has been continuously lamenting the performances one series after another.

“We felt we just had to stay in the game but we didn’t start well. We need to accept and stay in the fight. We have a lot of learning to do as a young group. We are playing cricket games every two days, but I am happy that the guys are actually fighting it out. Some of them are injured but I am happy the guys want to fight on the field” Pooran said on his side’s performances in the first two games.
