Gina Stewart, who bills herself as the “world’s hottest grandma” on social media, has made a dramatic claim that she was in a secret affair with legendary cricketer Shane Warne.

Stewart stated that she was in regular contact with Warne before his death in Thailand earlier this year, which shocked the cricketing world.

The 51-year-old described Warne as a “friend and confidante” and said she has been “devastated” over the last few months.

“I have been crushed throughout recent months. The world lost a legend and I lost a companion and compatriot. The inconceivable occurred. I was dating Shane yet it wasn’t notable. He needed to keep it individual,” Stewart told Daily Star.

Shane Warne, 52, passed on from respiratory failure on the island of Koh Samui, Thailand on March 4. Warne addressed Australia in 145 Tests – the third most-covered Australia cricketer to have worn the Baggy Green behind Ricky Ponting and Allan Border – and 194 ODI and completed his vocation with 1001 wickets.

In Tests, with 708 wickets, he is the second-driving wicket-taker ever behind Sri Lanka’s Muttiah Muralitharan.
