Want To Help Next Generation In Believing Themselves: Sania Mirza

On Wednesday morning, RCB announced the same on its official social media pages. Upon being chosen as the mentor for the women’s squad, Sania Mirza stated:

“I was a little surprised, but I am really excited because I think that, you know I have been a professional athlete for 20 years which is very depressing sometimes when I think of it because it’s so long. But I feel like my next job, once I retire, is to try and help young women, young girls, believe that you know sport can be one of the first career choices for them.”

“And for me, the kind of things I went through 30 years ago when I picked up a Tennis racquet to play the sport which was kind of unheard of at that time, I just want to help the next generation in believing in themselves that no matter how many odds are against you, you can achieve your goal if you back yourself,” Sania Mirza added.
