Zimbabwe are set to take on Afghanistan in the second ODI at Harare on July 6. The match begins at 12:45 PM IST (9:15 AM local time). The visitors are leading the series 1-0 after winning the first ODI. Another win would hand the series over to Afghanistan. Zimbabwe thus needs to win the game to stay alive in the series.

Both teams have played 26 ODIs against each other with Afghanistan winning 16 games and Zimbabwe 10. In Zimbabwe, both teams have played 16 games with the Afghans winning 9 games and Zimbabwe 7. The first ODI win was the 16th overall for the Afghan side.  Heading into this series both Zimbabwe and Afghanistan lost their previous international assignments. While Zimbabwe lost to Sri Lanka 1-2. Afghanistan went down against Bangladesh by the same margin.

Zimbabwe is led by Craig Ervine while Hashmatullah Shahidi is leading the charge for Afghanistan. Both teams will play a three-match T20I series after the conclusion of the ongoing ODI series.
