Abhimanyu Mithun has made his comeback to Karnataka for the Deodhar Trophy 2017/18.

He did not play in the second round of Vijay Hazare Trophy after he made himself unavailable.

The senior player has made a comeback to the side, now.

R Vinay Kumar will also miss the Deodhar Trophy due to elbow injury.

Karun Nair will continue to lead the team in absence of R Vinay Kumar, who is unfit.

The latter is yet to recover from the elbow injury, which kept him out of few games of league stage too.

Nair has done well in his absence and will again look for glory in the absence of his senior player.

The team will miss out on the services of both KL Rahul and Manis Pandey.

Both the players are part of the India T20I squad for the Nidahas Trophy and will fly to Sri Lanka in a couple of days.

Rahul played the final of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after flying to Delhi on the eve of the game.

Pandey opted to take rest as he was also the part of the ODI side.

Karnataka will also be without experienced pacer Sreenath Aravind.

The former India player announced his retirement from domestic cricket after the final of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

He will just play Karnataka Premier League for a season or two.

He represented India in one T20I in 2015.

He also made it to the ODI on a couple of occasions but an injury prevented him from donning his maiden ODI cap.

Abhishek Reddy has been added to the squad for Deodhar Trophy.

He made his comeback in the Karnataka Ranji Trophy team but was ruled out after he scored a duck.

He went onto play for Karnataka U23 and has now made his comeback to the senior team.

Vijay Hazare Trophy champions, Karnataka, will take on India A and Ndia B in the triangular tournament.

In the first game, Ankit Bawne led India A will face Shreyas Iyer led India B.

In the second game, India B will face Karun Nair led Karnataka.

Karnataka will then face India A in last league stage game.

The top two teams in the points table will face each other in the final on March 8.

All the matches will be a day/night affair, to be played at HPCA stadium in Dharamsala.
