Anil Kumble's Gesture Towards a Fan Wanting to Meet him is Indeed Kind!

Meeting celebrities and clicking a selfie with them is a dream for any fan. However, Anil Kumble faced one instance and the way he delighted his fan is something memorable. Meanwhile, former India cricketer and head coach, Anil Kumble is one of the greatest spinners in the world. He has had a brilliant international career for India and is the highest wicket-taker from the country in Test cricket as well.

Recently, one of his fans couldn’t hold her excitement, as she was going to share the same flight. She tweeted that how badly she wanted to meet the legend.

However, the fan took to Twitter and described that Anil Kumble reminded her of the memorable encounter between India and the Windies. The former Indian coach had bowled with a bandaged jaw after an injury. He picked up the wicket of another legend, Brian Lara within his spell of fourteen overs.

Furthermore, the fan tweeted another time and mentioned how she wanted to express her feelings to Anil Kumble for his extraordinary service to Indian cricket over the years.

However, she couldn’t get enough courage to go up to him and tell him a thank you. The 47-year old took note of her request and posted a reply to her on Twitter. He asked her that she can come up to him when the flight takes off and say a hi to him.

Meanwhile, Anil Kumble had played 132 Test matches and 271 ODIs picking up 619 and 337 wickets, respectively. He retired from international cricket in November 2008 but remained associated with his passion sport, cricket.

In 2016, Kumble was appointed as the coach of Indian cricket team. He served the position for one year before Ravi Shastri took over the job.

‘Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off.’
