Veteran Indian pacer Ashish Nehra has narrated an incident wherein he can be seen heaping praise on former Indian skipper MS Dhoni. Ashish Nehra had the opportunity to play under the leadership of MS Dhoni on his return to international cricket.

MS Dhoni is widely regarded as the calmest personality on the field. He likes to keep things simple around himself and never seems out of place when he is on the field. Similarly, Ashish Nehra has revealed how MS Dhoni kept things simple around himself in the dressing room. Although he has been a legend for the majority of his career, Ashish Nehra stated that it was pretty easy to approach him in person.

“People think Dhoni is an introvert and doesn’t talk much to players. That is not the case. His room would remain open in the night after matches. Anyone could walk in, order food and discuss cricket,” Ashish Nehra said.

“Be it in CSK or in the Indian team, Dhoni would pass on the message on what he thinks a player needs to do during a conversation and that would be enough for the players to get the drift,” Nehra added.
