India beat Bangladesh by three wickets in a thrilling final match of Asia Cup 2018 tournament, and they have created a record of winning the title for the seventh time.
However, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma decided to field first after winning the toss. India is always good at chasing runs, and it has been proved over the past years. Rohit Sharma and Co. also did it against Bangladesh in a big match.
Bangladesh opener Liton Das and Mehidy Hasan started brilliantly putting 120 runs on the board for the first wicket stand.
Chahal dropped a catch of Liton Das in the middle, and Das grabbed the opportunity to hit his maiden century. Meanwhile, after that, the Indian bowlers rattled the rest of the batting line up. They didn’t give a scope to build up any partnership. Dhoni did some fantastic job behind the stumps helping to get Chahal and Kuldeep to take wickets.
Bangladesh could only post a score of 222 runs at the end of 48.3 overs losing all their ten wickets at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai on Friday. Furthermore, while chasing down the target, Rohit and Dhawan started their innings aggressively.
Meanwhile, India lost two quick wickets, and Dhoni and Karthik held their nerves and put some runs under the belt. The duo added 54 runs for the fourth wicket and relieved some pressure in the dressing room. Moreover, Kedar had to leave the ground, as he was unable to take runs due to a hamstring.
Later, Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar contributed some valuable runs to lead India way towards the target. After the departure of Jadeja, Kedar has to return on the pitch to finish off the innings in style. However, the last over of the match was thrilling for both the team and the Men in Blue managed to win the Asia Cup for the seventh time beating Bangladesh in the finals.
