Former Pakistan fast bowler, Wasim Akram is upset with the way Pakistan played India in the Asia Cup 2018 as the Indian spinners rattled them at Dubai International Stadium on September 19 (Wednesday).

However, India won their second Asia Cup match against Pakistan by eight wickets. Earlier in the day Pakistan skipper Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and elected to bat first. They managed to post a score of 162 runs after losing all their wickets.

Indian bowlers did some splendid job to rattle Pakistan batting line up quickly.

Moreover, the 52-years-old, Wasim Akram maintained it was difficult to defend 163 runs on a flat pitch.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE), is, however, adopted home ground for the Pakistan team.

Moreover, Akram added he was saying it for the last three weeks that Kuldeep Yadav might be the key factor to trouble Pakistan batting line up. The Men in Green even didn’t even bother to tackle Kedar Jadhav.

“It was difficult to defend 163 on such a flat pitch. This was supposed to be Pakistan’s home ground. It was all set for them: win the toss, bat and put up the runs. I have been saying this for the last three weeks: Kuldeep Yadav will be the main threat. They did not even see what Kedar Jadhav was trying to bowl,” Akram said.

Furthermore, Kedar bowled a fantastic spell of nine overs giving away 23 runs and picking up three wickets.

Meanwhile, Akram also said that teammates must respect a good bowler and to look what he is trying to do. However, Pakistan astonished one and all by their dismal performance.

Moreover, Akram tried to say that sometimes when a bowler is bowling a good spell, then the opposition should leave him. They need to attack the other bowlers and score runs.

“Sometimes, you have to respect a good bowler and see off his spell. But they had no plans, and they were flabbergasted. When you are facing a good bowler, and he is bowling well, you need to see him off and look to score off the other bowlers,” Akram told to Aaj Tak.

During the ongoing Asia Cup 2018, Wasim Akram concluded that there was no such pressure on Pakistan as they have high confidence against India after their ICC Champions Trophy triumph in 2017.
