He played a key role in the T20I series and also will be a crucial player for Australia in the ODI series. He is one of the players to watch out in the series.

The left-handed batsman is one of the consistent run-scorers for Australia in the recent past. He has been brilliant whenever he got chances in the middle. Carey will once again bat at the number 6 position, as the top-order slots are filled with few big names.

Mitchell Marsh is set to enter into his suitable format. He will be one of the tough nuts in the upcoming ODI game against India. Though he failed in the longer version of the game, Mitchell Marsh would hope to show his class for his side. He is a great option for Australia, as he can deliver the goods in both sections of the game.

The left-handed fast bowler troubled Indians when he toured India and also decent in the recent past. He might outclass Peter Siddle in that slot to play in the first ODI against India. Jason will also bring the variety to the pace attack, as a remaining couple of fast bowlers are right-handed.

11. Billy Stanlake:

Stanlake is the obvious choice for Australia to complete their playing XI. The lanky fast bowler will get the assistance from his height and can trouble the batsman with an uncomfortable bounce from the pitch. He was a threat in the T20 format against India and will certainly look to put the Indian batsmen under pressure in ODI as well.
