Former legendary batsman Kumar Sangakkara has showered praise on Cheteshwar Pujara for his gutsy knock. Sangakkara took to his Twitter account to praise Pujara. The former Sri Lankan gloveman said that Cheteshwar Pujara is a perfect epitome for all the batsman across the globe.

Kumar Sangakkara said that Pujara’s resilience is a great lesson for all the batsman. Sangakkara added that Pujara has shown how backing one’s skills can bring great rewards for the batsman.

Pujara batted with gumption.

Meanwhile, Cheteshwar Pujara scored a fine knock of 193 in the first innings of the ongoing fourth Test match. Pujara must have been disappointed after missing out on the well deserved double ton.

Pujara scored 22 fours in his innings and batted at the top of his game. The right-hander backed his abilities and was able to find the gaps in the outfield. In fact, Pujara has been in sublime form in the ongoing series against Australia. He is the leading run-scorer of the series with 521 runs in the series.

The Saurashtra batsman has scored three centuries in the ongoing series and has been a major difference between the two sides. Pujara had scored 123 runs in the first innings of the first Test match. Furthermore, he scored another fine knock of 71 runs in the second essay. Thus, he scored 194 runs in the first match to be adjudged the Man of the match.

Subsequently, Pujara scored another valiant knock of 106 in the third Test match at Melbourne. Hence, Pujara has been instrumental in the success of the team.

Kumar Sangakkara took to his Twitter to share his thoughts. The post read as, “A great lesson to all batsmen in the series and tests in general. @cheteshwar1 showing how trusting your strengths and being unashamedly dogged in technique and concentration brings great rewards.”
