However, in the current Virat Kohli era, Indian fast bowling has grown a lot in stature to make unthinkable happen for the team. Meanwhile, Kapil Dev heaps praise on the fast bowlers.

Indian cricketing legend and former World Cup winning captain Kapil Dev hailed the Indian fast bowlers’ performances in Australi. The fast bowling setup has given the side its best chance of a series win Down Under.

Unbelievable, Beautiful And Fantastic – Kapil

Kapil Dev quoted that all the hard work paid back beautifully for the Indian cricket. He feels that India has set the benchmark for the fast bowling, after 20 years of hard work in the game. Kapil Dev believes that it didn’t come overnight.

Further, he showered words of praises on the current bowlers, who are approaching the game hard. He went on to add saying that India would deliver more fast bowlers to the world cricket, especially, after the benchmark reaching certain heights.

“Unbelievable.” “Beautiful, fantastic… in the last 15 months no other team has done so well in pace bowling. The Indian team has done so well, I don’t have to say anything, they have done so well… it is unbelievable.  It is different (to see fast bowlers coming through in India). An Indian fast bowler coming out and playing so hard, sometimes you feel how the hell they are doing all that.

”But I think it is good to have a change of culture, a fast bowler is fantastic. It is not the last two years, the last 20 years hard work you can see the result. The result doesn’t come overnight. Now we set the benchmark very high. Now you will find more fast bowlers keep on coming, better players will keep on coming. Because the trend of Indian cricket is moving on the better side,” added Kapil.

Well, as Kapil Dev said, Indian fast bowlers have been brilliant in the recent past, especially, in overseas tours. It would be interesting to see whether India walk back with a series victory from Sydney.
