What a start India’s gun fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has had to his Test career. He is only ten Test matches old and has become Virat Kohli’s go-to bowler in the red ball version. Bumrah has taken 49 wickets in just 10 matches. He scalped 21 wickets in the four-match series against Australia at an average of 17.

Thus, Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker of the series along with Nathan Lyon. In fact, Bumrah was able to send a shiver down the spine of the Australian batsmen whenever he had the ball in hand.

Bumrah was on song.

It was a fine effort from India’s rising star who has taken giant strides in the multi-day format. Bumrah bowled with fire and Australia didn’t have any answers to the difficult questions of the Indian talisman bowler.

Consequently, Jasprit Bumrah played a key role in India’s maiden triumph on the Australian soil. Furthermore, the slower ball yorker that Bumrah bowled to Shaun Marsh in the third Test match at Melbourne will be remembered for a long time.

On the other hand, India won the first Test match by 31 runs. However, they lost the second match by 146 runs. The tourists made a solid return to win the third match by 137 runs. Thus, the visitors were able to tick the right boxes to retain the Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has been a perfect find for the Indian team. He has bowled with his tail up and hits the right length. Most importantly, Bumrah is a quick learner and he is expected to go a long way in his career.

Jasprit Bumrah took to Twitter to share his delight. Bumrah post read as, “History has been created!!!???
First ever Test series win on Australian soil. It’s such a proud moment to be a part of the winning side. This win will be cherished for a long long time.????”.
